Colin Firth es un actor inglés que se dio a conocer mundialmente en El Diario de Bridget Jones (2001) y ganó el Oscar al Mejor Actor por la película El discurso del rey (2010).

Colin Andrew Firth nació el 10 de septiembre de 1960 en Grayshott, Hampshire, Inglaterra.

También le hemos visto en la encantadora Love Actually (2003), Supernova (2020), The King’s Man: La Primera Misión (2020), The Happy Prince (2018) y El Retrato de Dorian Gray (2009). Nos gustó mucho estéticamente esta última.

Recientemente le hemos visto en una peli de Netflix, El Arma del Engaño (2021).

Colin Firth is a British actor who became known for his role in the 2001 movie Bridget Jones’s Diary. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for The King’s Speech.

About Colin Firth

Colin Firth was born on 10 September 1960 in Grayshott, Hampshire, England.

He is best known for his Academy Award-winning performance as King George VI in The King’s Speech.

Before becoming an actor, he studied at the British Drama Academy in London, England.

Firth’s first major role was in the television serial That’ll Be the Day (1985), playing a role as a rebellious schoolboy.

After that, he gained notoriety as Mr Darcy in the 1995 miniseries version of Pride and Prejudice and also as Mark Darcy in the 2001 movie Bridget Jones’ Diary.

He starred in a number of critically acclaimed films such as The English Patient, The Importance of Being Earnest, and A Single Man.

Firth won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as King George VI in The King’s Speech (2010).

He won a BAFTA award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his role as a depressed professor in A Single Man (2009).

He also received BAFTA nominations for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his roles in Bridget Jones’s Diary, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, and The English Patient (1996).

In 2011, he was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) for services to drama.

He has also roles in Love Actually, Supernova.

Nowadays, he starred in Operation Mincemeat (2021), a Netflix movie directed by John Madden.

Colin Firth est né le 10 septembre 1960 à Grayshott, Hampshire, Angleterre.

Il est surtout connu pour avoir remporté un Oscar en tant que roi George VI dans Le discours du roi.

Avant de devenir acteur, il a étudié à la British Drama Academy à Londres, en Angleterre.

Le premier grand rôle de Firth a été dans la série télévisée That’ll Be the Day (1985), où il jouait un rôle d’écolier rebelle.

Après cela, el s’est fait connaître comme M. Darcy dans la version mini-série de 1995 d’Orgueil et préjugés et aussi celui de Mark Darcy dans le film de 2001 Le Journal de Bridget Jones.
