Clerks III – Crítica de la Película

Clerks III es una película dirigida (evidenemente) por Kevin Smith que vuelve a reunit al reparto de la primera entre entre los que figuran Rosario Dawson, Jason Mewes, Jeff Anderson, Brian O’Halloran, Marilyn Ghigliotti y Ben Affleck.

Una ocasión para volver la vista atrás, que tampoco tiene nada de malo.

Argumento

Tras sufrir un ataque al corazón, Randal reculta a sus amigos para rodar una película sobre la tienda en la que se conocieron y en torno a la cual giró sus vidas.

Crítica de la Película

¿Repetitiva, gastada, sólo para nostálgicos? No vamos a negar lo evidente: un poco, sí, pero también es un buen motivo para echar unas risas sin pensar demasiado ni «currarse» demasiado el guion y hacer una película con el mismo espíritu que la primera que a tantos cautivó: no contamos casi nada y la frescura es nuestra bandera.

Tenemos un poco de eso, aunque cierto que ya gastada y no podemos dejar de decir eso de «qué mayores estamos» y echar un poco la vista atrás en este ejercicio auto-reflexivo que es Clerks III.

Es una película que disfrutarán los fans y que, un poco fuera del clan Kevin Smith no tendrá prácticamente gracia y, si tienes doce años, igual esto te empieza a resultar ya de «abueletes». Puede que tengan razón estos ya post-mmillenials y esta nueva entrega de «la tienda de los colegas» tenga más bien poco que ofrecer más que reencontrarnos con viejos amigos, poco más.

También, por otra parte, se lo han merecido y todos aquellos que se acerquen a ella lo harán con ganas de ver a estos colegas que, aunque ya todos sabemos que no será lo mismo, pyuede suponer una experiencia, siempre nostálgica y a veces algo triste, pero también mantiene una pizca (un poco) de la alegría que tuviera antaño.

Recovering from a heart attack, Randal has an awakening – he is going to make a movie about working at Quick Stop Groceries and the adjacent “THC” video rental store. Yes, it is “Meta!”, as one the customer puts in the movie trailer.

Movie Review

Is it repetitive? Is it a used up idea? Is it only for those suffering from nostalgia? We will not deny the obvious, as it is a bit all the above. However, it is too a good excuse to have some laughs without having to do too great mental exertion. The screenplay is just as lighthearted as in the first one, and the movie is made with the same intention of having a good time.

It is inevitable to think how old we are and how time flies, and do an exercise of self-reflection while we think back to the 90’s.

This is definitely a movie that the fans will enjoy, and might be a bit more difficult to find amusing if you are not a Kevin Smith “groupie”. To the younger audience it might come across as passé, and the post-millenials might be right when saying that the movie has little to offer other than a get-together or reunion of old time friends.

On the other hand, they do deserve the accolades, and those who will watch this film will do so with enthusiasm, even if we know time has passed, and there might be some nostalgia, and even some sadness, but still some of the happiness of yesteryear.
